Trusted HouseSitters Review: NOT spon👇🏻 For the next 3 weeks, a STRANGER is watching my cat at the apartment I’m renting… Sounds a little spooky but let me explain… I’ve been nomadic living in a van for the last 5 years and during that time, I’ve had countless friends use something called Trusted Housesitters to stay in new areas all over the world FOR FREE. Trusted HouseSitters is a program similar to a house swap. Except instead of trading homes, someone stays in your place for free and in exchange, they watch your pets. You can be the sitter or you can be the person that needs their pets watched. There are background checks, reviews, detailed profiles & I have about a million facetimes with applicates just to make sure all is good! When I took a break from the road for a few months, I was SO excited to finally try this service. The first time was when I was in Japan for a month in January. A young woman came to stay at my house from the east coast to experience living in bend. She had always wanted to explore this city but rent was a little pricey, so staying at my house and Atlas was perfect for her. & now that I have my women’s trip in Patagonia, I needed another one, so I have a nomadic couple living in the house while I am gone. Trusted House Sitters is actually the reason I decided to extent my rental in Bend since I knew I had these travel plans coming up. Typically, when I was living in the van and needed a cat sitter, it was a whole, messy ordeal that went south a few times. I’ve had some really bad Rover experiences, so having Atlas stay in my house while I am gone has been a game changer!!! (we’ll be moving out soon after I get back tho!) Not to mention, I’m also having the sitters grab my mail, take care of my plants and watch my van…so it’s kinda a win win win! & then obvi in exchange, they get to live for free is a really cool area of Bend, Oregon. Would you do something like this??? LMK if you have any questions!
