2 Reasons You’re Staying Cold👇🏻 It took me a VERY LONG time to realize this… but every time I went hiking, I couldn’t stay warm. I always felt cold or that I was constantly damp but never understood why until I learned these two things: Mistake #1: Wearing cotton or synthetic base layers - These fabrics trap moisture! Once they are wet, they stay wet and you end up freezing while moving. I always wore normal leggings or athletic tops to snowboard or camp and I ended up always needing to go home early because I was so cold. - Then I switched to Merino wool and everything changed! Merino wool is breathable, moisture wicking and helps regulate body temperature instead of fighting it. Mistake #2: Starting with too many layers - I used to bundle up at the trailhead and sweat almost immediately and sweat is what actually makes you colder. BE BOLD, START COLD! - Now, with Merino wool, I’m able to start with less layers since it helps regulate my body temperature & gives me a lot more warmth at the trailhead. Here’s why I love Merino wool: - Keeps me warm without overheating - Manages moisture as my body temperature changes - Natural, renewable, biodegradable - Needs less washing (and doesn’t really smell IMO) - Doesn’t shed microplastics - Durable (I’ve had my pieces for YEARS with no issues) & there’s so many OPTIONS: bras, undies, t shirts, long sleeves, pants etc. Merino wool is great because it’s better for your body and the places you’re hiking. @thewoolmarkcompany #WoolmarkPartner #ChooseMerino
