I’m a makeup artist over 40… and there are a few things I had to stop doing if I wanted my makeup to actually flatter my face. Here are 3 things I stopped doing after 40: 1️⃣ Overpowdering – Too much powder can make skin look dry and emphasize texture. Now I powder only where I crease so my skin still looks fresh and glowy. 2️⃣ The blocky brow – Super harsh, filled-in brows can overpower your face. I keep mine softer and more natural so they frame my features instead of stealing the show. 3️⃣ Low bronzer placement – Dragging bronzer down pulls the face down. Keeping it higher instantly gives a more lifted, sculpted look. Sometimes the biggest glow-up isn’t new products… it’s better technique. ✨ Follow for makeup tips that actually work on real skin over 40.
