Apparently this is a hair topic I haven’t covered! Q: Is it healthy for my hair/scalp to go to bed with wet hair!? Short Answer: NO Long Answer: When our hair is wet it is in its most vulnerable state! The elasticity is also at its highest which means when your hair experiences friction (tossing & turning in your sleep with your wet fragile hair mushed between your pillow & your heavy noggin’) your hair is more likely to break, snap, & create more pesky split ends! And…it’s not just your hair that’s in a vulnerable state… So is your scalp! A moist, (sorry for saying that word) damp, dark, & warm environment is the prime place for bacteria to invite itself in to wreck havoc on your scalp..which can lead to redness, irritation, inflammation, dandruff, & potential follicle damage…which can then lead to hair loss. GASP! 😲🫣 So my friends…Long Story Long…if you gotta go to bed with wet hair…PLEASE AT LEAST BLOW DRY DEM ROOTS, get a silk pillow case or a silk cap, make sure you’re applying a protective leave in product & try not to make it a habit! ~I Love helping you Love your Hair!~ -JasmineRae •would love if you Liked this video if you learned something new!
