Step 1: ✨ Brush their scalp with a boar bristle brush once a day for 3–5 minutes! In the last minute, gently run the brush through their entire hair. Our main focus is brushing the scalp to encourage stimulation & blood flow to those follicles. THIS IS HUGE! 💆🏼‍♀️ Step 2: 🛁 Only shampoo once a week! If it’s summertime and you’ve got some dirty little kiddos, you can still bathe or shower them — wet their hair, but condition only if it’s not shampoo day! I usually wash my girls’ hair with shampoo (followed by conditioner) on Saturday nights. If it’s right before bed, blow dry their scalp a little on warm (not hot) so they’re not going to bed with wet heads. Step 3: 🔥🚫 NO HOT TOOLS… EVER! (Yes, I’m guilty for dance performances & Christmas concerts 🙈) But besides that, try your hardest not to put heat on their beautiful, delicate, precious hair. Opt for braids, heatless curls, sock curls… so many options — but no hot irons! Step 4: 🌙 Nighttime protection is a must! • Silk pillowcases, silk crib mattress, or silk bonnets help so much. • Protective styles at night: low loose pony with a silk scrunchie, low loose braids — always low & loose if you can. We want to wake up with as few tangles as possible! Step 5: 💧 Pick hydrating products: • Hydrating shampoos & conditioners • Hydrating leave-in conditioner spray • Hydrating leave-in oil from midstrand down ⸻ AND THAT’S IT! 🎉 It’s a game changer! I know it takes a little extra time, but it REALLY does make a difference. I hope this helps you with your little girls’ hair!
