No cute transition reel…just giving you my hair in the moment! 🤣 But Gahhh…WHAT DO YOU THINK!? I JUMP SCARE every time I look in the mirror😳! I decided I wanted to rock that soft, low maintenance, jennifer Aniston honey bronde for winter!!🤎💛✨Annd My girls @thehairco nailed it! I love it cause I know this will fade beautifully & come spring time it will brighten back up! 📝👩⚕️A note to my fellow Blondies out there…don’t be scared to lean into more of a natural/“organic” looking color or root color. Give your hair a break this winter from all the blonde and ask your stylist to take you more “lived in” you don’t have to commit to this dark but even a nice smudged out root with a more diffused highlight & a few lowlights will do the trick. Your hair will Thank you! Focus on taking good care of your hair this winter & using more HYDRATING products as the air grows cold! Find a good hair mask & do it 2-4x a month! If you want to know exactly what we did on my hair…see below! FORMULA/TECHNIQUE: First we did a few highlights. We teased them so they would look diffused & soft. We did a subtle money piece on the front. 3 foils diagonal back up the sides, and teased about 6-7 highlights down the Mohawk leaving good spacing in between! Then we went back in between the highlights and added some lowlights with Redken shades eq gloss: Lowlight was 06GB 06WG 07N and 07NW (equal parts) we took every other lowlight all the way down to the ends! And the off ones we left most the ends out. Then i sat for about 25 minutes and we rinsed and toned my entire head in the bowl with shades eq 07GB, 09GB, 08GI, 08N (equal parts) and let sit a full 20 minutes! 😆 (if you want the blonde left a little more golden and less ashy, leave the 08N out of the toner, it’s a heavy hitter) we were all low key panicking cause my heart is blonde💛 and that feels DARK! But I’m actually loving the change and I know it will be so good for my hair and fade beautifully! (I might need a few therapy sessions for identity crisis reasonings!
