I’ve done a lot of treatments over the years and have tested out countless products too. These are the ones that made the biggest difference in my face—some better than others. 1. Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling I did this four years ago, and it completely changed the shape of my face. I wanted to debulk my lower face, and it delivered—big time! But with that sculpting came a lot of fat loss. At the time, I wanted that fat gone; now I’d do anything to have it back. It gave me better definition then, but as my face has aged, my jawline has dropped, and I wouldn’t do it again if I could go back. But here we are.... 2. Microneedling with PDRN I love microneedling for improving the overall look of my skin, and adding PDRN makes it even better. It’s one of the biggest bang-for-your-buck treatments for improving skin quality, texture, and tone. Downtime is minimal, and everyone asks what you did to your skin because the results are THAT good. 3. Full-face Dysport I wish I’d started this earlier because it makes SUCH a difference—smoother skin, a more lifted, snatched look, and better balance. My injector treats my crow’s feet, 11s, forehead, brows, neck, chin, upper lip, and now my nose. Once the tox settles, my face looks refreshed and more crisp. It’s one treatment that instantly takes years off while still looking natural. 4. Using less filler I used to have my filler touched up every six months like clockwork. Not anymore. Even though I’m currently on a filler hiatus (read: upcoming facelift), there’s still some in there—just less. As aesthetics shifts toward a more undetectable look, filler still has a place (I think it always will), but in smaller amounts. Less-obvious filler is the norm these days. 5. Letting go of tretinoin and embracing retinol I used Retin-A for years until my skin started freaking out and could no longer tolerate it. So I switched to retinol and haven’t looked back. Once I found the right one, it kept my skin clear, smooth, and youthful. I wish I could still use tretinoin, but retinol does the trick for me, so I’m sticking with it.
